Excellent storytelling, compelling, so compelling - an incredible life made real through masterful writing. As a lover of history, especially USA history, this author leaves me moved by the telling of President Garfield’s life and anxiously awaiting CW Goodyear’s next book. Suffice it say that I wept by the end of the book.

I have read a couple different books about President Garfield. This one is very well written and very informative to follow. I highly recommend it this is a presidential history buffs type of book!

Well told biography. Learned a lot. He seemed like a good dude to most people, but not everybody. Weird to think about.

Great book! Highly recommend

President Garfield should not be forgotten, it is a shame he had such a short time in the high office. His life was a true Great American story and his unnecessary and untimely murder should not be reason to forget this great man.

Great biography of very fine man

Like most other Americans, the only thing I really knew about President Garfield was that he was assassinated soon after taking office. As with all people, he made his mistakes and suffered from some lapses of judgment however, on the whole, it seems he was a very conscientious and dedicated public servant. 
This book was very well written, and provided a great textural picture of this fine gentleman‘s life. The performance of the audiobook was very well done, and clearly understood.
