Resumen del Editor

Poor Liam. On the very first day of fifth grade, in a strange new town, and a large new school, he interrupts everyone to bolt out and into the girl's bathroom. There, down in the far stall, in pain from a horrible stomach condition, he meets a new friend: Poop.

The cheery little guy says he's there to help Liam through a tough time in his life. But what does Liam need help with? And who, in their right mind, would want Poop for a friend?

Eight Year Old Bliss!

I listened to this entire book yesterday with my eight year old daughter. We laughed out loud, we were completely grossed out, and we were touched and pleased with the outcome. My daughter is ready to go back to school and recommend this to all of her friends. She said its as good as "Wonder." High praise, indeed!

A great story that deals with a tough subject!

The author, A.J. Cosmo, does a great job infusing comedy into a subject that both children and parents sometimes struggle to talk about. This is a must read if your child struggles with digestive issues!!!

Poop is hilarious, heart warming and honest

Poop is laugh out loud funny, heart warming and brutally honest. It's relatable to anyone who has ever felt different because of something embarrassing and completely out of their control (all of us! especially kids), and shows what would happen if we couldn't politely sweep those things under the rug and avoid them. Our protagonist Liam suffers from what seems like some form of IBS and is in a new school with new kids, new teachers, family challenges etc. which is hard enough. His poop becomes a fully personified mentor and friend. This story is about more than Liam accepting his body and listening to it to improve his health.. it's about letting go, embracing change, finding his voice and growing up. I was truly moved by this story and I think it will connect with parents and kids alike. A.J. Morrison's reading is warm, touching, funny and engaging.. his performance does the story justice.

Bravo

The name is an icebreaker, a catalyst, nothing more; it’s much more, and its depth is quickly developed. The narration is consistent and keeps your attention without the narrator becoming the focus. The writing is direct: the characters are identifiable, the events are creatively explored, and the end result is accepting and kind. The overall feel of the book is a thinly disguised love letter to all walks of life. This is a good story. You may need it more than you know. Your kids will probably enjoy it, too. Play it through. It’s honest. It’s worth it.

Poop!

Poop!
What is Poop? Well for Liam Anderson-Jones it is many things from his curse to his best friend. After his parents separated, Liam and his mother moved to a new neighborhood in a rough section of town. Here he has to start all over with a different group of kids in a new school and that is only the beginning of his troubles. Liam suffers from sudden and uncontrollable bouts of debilitating diarrhea. This gives him a stigma in his new school and he begins to be bullied by his classmates. Luckily he has the support of Mr. Almond a fantastic teacher and two unexpected allies, one of which turns out to be his very own poop! Liam must learn to face his fears, confront his bullies, and learn to make new friends. Along the way he will undergo medical testing and experience incredible maturation and growth which help him to find out where he belongs. This book teaches that sometimes you can only move on by letting go of what is holding you in the past. My daughter suffers from severe gastrointestinal issue and may someday face similar situations to those Liam faced. Like Liam’s mom I don’t always know the best way to help or the how to find the answers to bring her relief from her symptoms, but I hope she and I can learn from this book and she can find her way like Liam did. Did book is a fantastic resource to many children suffering from difficult medical conditions and those who just don’t fit in for one reason or another. I am so glad that A. J. Cosmos had the inspiration to write this book which has the ability to help so many children! It is even more enjoyable to listen to the story being read by such a talented narrator. It really brings the story to life!
