Excellent

I found so much in this book that really helped me understand my own feelings about challenges that I have faced. Just over 70 myself, I found myself engrossed with Jim.

Fantastic find! A must get!

A great find. It is a must read for any sci fi fan! I couldn't put it down. It has an original and disturbing story.

Did NOT expect the ending.

I enjoyed the entire novel and I was riveted up until the end. When I found out “who” the aliens are - wow!!!!!!

Slow burn, emotional ending..

I don't know if I would've ever read this book beyond the first couple of chapters, but casting Steve Carlson to narrate it was a superb choice and made this one of the best audiobooks I've listened to in a while. The end was a perfect send-off for the main character, Jim. Loved it!

Till the end. What a let down. Ruined the whole thing for me. I enjoyed it till the ending

Very enjoyable!!

I am always looking for the sci-fi book that is about space travel that has lots of science and is believable. This one has it all! Steve Carlson did a great job with all of the characters voices and the story kept me coming back. I couldn't wait to get to Pluto!

A story with many layers of meaning

What makes personhood and the meaning of caring. This story gives a lot to think about.

I like the main character but hated the closing.

it kept me interested and the main character was entertaining. The story and possibility of their meeting whatever was fascinating. The ending and explanation of everything just about had me throw my phone out the window. It's been a long time since a booked irritated me like this ending did.

Great twist!

This was a pleasant surprise, seriously had me completely in the dark about the true villain until the very end.

Great Idea for a story

Great idea for a story, but not the story I wanted. I liked the main character and the narrator, but not much else. The first half of the book was just one bad thing after another to the point of exhaustion, I nearly gave up but liked the main character enough to continue. Suddenly the mayhem stops, and everyone is getting along. That turn of pace was welcome but took me out of the story. Three stars for the main character. I appreciate the author gave the story an ending instead of a cliffhanger and dragging this into a series. All in all, I would recommend this book with the caution of managing expectations, but it's not a story I will read again.
