Virtual Voice Couldn’t Ruin This Gem!

Very cute story. While it felt similar to when you start a Christmas movie and you feel like you’ve seen it before, Lynette McCornan did a wonderful job of fleshing out interesting and fully formed characters, and blending in the chemistry and steamy bits with an intriguing story to provide this unique, cozy, wintertime read!

The AI narration is a big thumbs down for me. To be fair, i’ve heard way worse and this one was passable enough to allow me to make it through. Warning, the virtual voice DRASTICALLY brought down the heat when it came time for that…
The writing speaks for itself, but if this was narrated by Abby Craden, Angela Dawe, Lori Prince or someone of that caliber I think this book would be a must read!

Cute

I liked the story however, I do not care for the AI reading. It doesn’t give us the full emotions of the characters. I love real people reading.

good story. VV Narrative sucks.

story was fine. the VV sucked. made the story much less enjoyabe. the inflections, clipped words were terrible. very robotic missing the nuances of real speech. no emotional changes a human narrator would have.

Overreacting

Why do people overreact and make assumptions? Natalie should have stayed as was requested, but no, she overreactted and ran out and cried, letting her mind come to its own conclusions of a situation. She had no choice but to return, as she had a job to do. But Sophia finds her 1st at her parents house.
Story would be better without virtual voice, although this one isn't as bad as most of them.

Virtual Voice is a no go.

I truly dislike Virtual Voice and I really tried to give it a chance. Although the story was good the performance was laughable.

AI wasn't good

the story was good, and that's the only reason I finished the book. A I doesn't understand how to speak. inflections and tone, or pausing at an important point. PLEASE LET A REAL PERSON NARRATE THESE BOOKS.

Lovely story line

Virtual voice periodicity distracts from the story but I still found myself feeling like I was right there watching things like the relaunch of the bakery. Thank you for the beautiful love story. Mike

AI ruins romance

AI narration
I forced myself to listen to this membership free audible. There has not been a good review due to narration. I have avoided them.i have listened to Over 200 audibles since May. I thought … this is getting a little pricy and I need to find my preferred reads/listens another way. So I did. The story itself was ok. The narration ruins the experience. Analyzing the reason I didn’t like it. Inflection, and speed seem to be the problem. So I slowed down speed too .85. This helped a lot. If you want to give these AI narrated books try tweaking the speed. It is worth it if it helps broaden your library. AI has a long way to go before it is expectable.

Disliked the virtual voice

The virtual voice is definitely NOT Abby Craden or Lori Prince!! I loved the story of this book, but had a difficult time with the narration. I will not listen to another virtual voice audio book. 🙁😕
