Brian Tracy is Gold!

On my 3rd listening of this. Outstanding to help you understand why you do and behave like you do. Great insight on how to correct deficiencies. Dry and slow at times, just Brian’s calm easy style. Hang in there, it’s worth the treasure of completing.

Worth Every Penny

I'm giving this five stars because of the vast quantity of new and helpful information contained here. This is going to require another couple of listens. It really is powerfully motivating. If you liked The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson, you will love this. Actually, I would recommend reading The Slight Edge first, because it removes resistance. An unabridged audio of Edge isn't available but the print book is short. Then listen to this Brian Tracy. Brian talks about all kinds of things, it's really a complete package. As some other reviewers noted, there is an annoying sound, like cough-drop sucking. For a while I thought Brian just had a smacky mouth, but it would happen when he didn't speak too. I agree, it's distracting. Also, Brian may be a dynamic public speaker, but audio isn't a public forum. He's soft-spoken and along with the smacking sound, it's not appealing at all. Someone with a strong clear voice would be more congruent with message being delivered. That said, just get over it and focus on the message, it's really great.

Where does Personal Success Made Simple rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I'll put it easily in the top 10 audiobooks overall. I've been listening to and using a lot of Brian's material for a long time.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Personal Success Made Simple?

So many... hard to choose just one.

What does Brian Tracy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I'm not aware if this is available in book form. Brian Tracy is a "high content" speaker, with a lot of material packed into a short period of time. Some narrators I listen to at 3x speed, but I couldn't go above 2x with Brian.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, it's good for listening to a couple hours at a time, implementing some of the ideas, and then re-listening to periodically.

Any additional comments?

This is the most current evolution of Brian Tracy's material, and I can see the evolution and refinement in his ideas and how he presents them. If you have some of his other programs, there will be overlap. If you are new to Brian Tracy, or you want Brian's "Greatest Hits" in one place, this is a good choice.

Regarding the narration, and the "wet mouth" sound, yes, it is there, especially at the start of the program. My girlfriend was distracted by it, said that she could hear his dentures/gums smacking, and throat noises while he was talking. The message is all there, but for the sake of those who are distracted by such noises, the audio engineer in charge of post-production should have filtered out those noises; it should be technically feasible.

Life Changing Stuff!!

If you could sum up Personal Success Made Simple in three words, what would they be?

This book truly is life changing, there is so much info in it. Took me about 2 weeks to go through it and following Brian Tracy's recomendations are really helpful. If you are serious about changing your life, grab this book. Christian based teachings on forgiveness and love as well as scientifically proven facts.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Brian Tracy?

I usually enjoy listening to the authors. Tracy should have probably spent the money and gotten a professional readers. His overly breathless voice, sing song delivery and background noises of him swallowing and turning pages is a bit distracting.

A basic simple map for living well

As always Brian Tracy doesn't disappoint. The material And guidance on self examination would help anyone who puts it to use.

The audio was one of the worst I've ever listen to. While the voice was pleasant and somewhat subdued the dry mouth, lip smacking, dogs barking in the background, and mic thumping were excruciatingly annoying. I got to practice some of the principles just to get through the book. I'd like to listen again but not sure I can put myself through it.

great book

this is a great book. it is filled with motivating and inspiring advice. it also has some good real life examples to support them. I recommend this book to anyone.
