Love this series!

Great books with the right amount of mystery and romance set in the 20’s. And it’s not a ‘Hallmark’ type story - which I appreciate.

Intriguing story!

I have listened to all of thsi series at leadt twice. The narrator is not the best and takes getting used to, but I love the characters and plots.

PLEASE

do something about Heather Wilds. I'm sure she's lovely but her narration is so grating!

Good story

I don’t usually write reviews but I find it necessary to do so in this case. I feel I’ve found another author I can follow and be happy to collect. But the narrator needs help! Her rhythm is horrible. She seems to put a period after every third word or so. It interrupts the meaning of the sentences and I’m constantly rethinking what she’s just read to understand it’s meaning. Please get some lessons or hire someone else!

I love the characters. The depth of feeling that the characters have. The mystery is very well done.

Such an interesting series

Really enjoying this series. I have to admit I haven't cared for Sydney in the past. Find him irritating at times and didn't like that he put Verity through so much pain and caused her to do things she can't take back. Always been more team Max. Love his character with Verity. Oh well...author's choice. The marriage is finally making progress and the story really is good and has several surprises. Looking forward to what's next and hope the villain finally gets his due.

Where will this lead.

Still enjoying this listen. The series is progressing but slowing down. I think the next book will decide if I continue or lose interest.

A Firebrand Woman living in post-WW1.

The narrator's upper class English intonation take a little while getting used to. ar first they are just grating on the ears.

Fun story, stiff narration

I enjoy this series. Verity and Sidney are fun protagonists, and I love the exploration of post war Britain and its intelligence network. I do need breaks from it periodically, however. Wylde is a stiff narrator, a little too monotone and prone to emphasizing the wrong words (there's a small argument in this book where the voice is way off from how I'd read it.) Aside from that and Huber's inexplicable need to discuss her protagonists' hair color at least once per book in every series she writes, I do recommend.

Good Book, Terrible Narrator

Love Huber’s book, I buy every one immediately... but if they continue with this narrator I will have to stick to ebook. She puts the wrong emphasis on almost every word and the end of pretty much every sentence lilts up like a question. Unbelievably annoying. Makes it very hard to stay in the narrative and Huber narratives are worth staying in!
