The desperate girl I tried to outrun reared her head, and now I'm paying the consequences, including working closely with the man who makes me face myself—my real self.

The problem with being an imposter is that, sooner or later, someone comes around and sees through it all, and you have to make a choice… comfort or authenticity.

Single dad romance!

Loved this one so much! Narration was great and the storyline is deep and moving.

Gloomy story, very good performance

I loved the first book in this series, but this one is too gloomy for me to say I enjoyed it. It is very well written and has lots of depth, but it was quite depressing in many parts. Also, I really hated that Theo kept calling Lily "hopeless" as a nickname. Words matter. Anyway, the ending is good with people resolving long-standing issues and love prevailing. The performance is very good.
