Loved the mature main characters

I really liked that the main characters were a mature married couple. It made their relationship feel grounded and real! The demons were so unique and well described. This book is fantastic!

Complex relationships, & multiverse-level stakes!

Adrienne Miller delivers a darkly funny and heartfelt story in Paladin and Necromancer, and Ryan Pierson’s narration brings Kassander and Silver’s uneasy marriage vividly to life. I loved how the murder mystery twist wove seamlessly into the DnD-inspired fantasy setting, keeping the pace sharp and engaging. The blend of tragic-comic tone, complex relationships, and multiverse-level stakes made this a refreshing and memorable listen.

Great story!

I loved the story, the characters and the world building. It was a little clunky at times but still enjoyable. I had a hard tine differentiating characters based on the narrator but still good.

Gripping Multiverse Thriller

This was my first experience with this author's work, and the story was fascinating. I admired the worldbuilding and that the beings that inhabited it were not all the same. I liked that Silver was powerful in spite of physical limitations. I thought Cass' personality was more like a shadow next to Silver and could have used a little more differentiation. I was entertained by all the twists and turns. I thought Ryan Pierson's narration was great, and his performance enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

Great Fantasy

I’m new to the high fantasy world and I was sucked into this world from the start! Took me moment to become familiar with the terms and roles but once you have it, the story becomes the main focus. Thanks the gods there’s a second book because I need answers. Will be save those we want back? What’s gonna happen now with the gods? More pleaseeee! ❤️

Sweehander tale of gods and demons

The book itself was good, engaging, and had enjoyable twists, even if they weren't always too hidden. It is a fantastic concept to see played with, spouses who have very differing points of view on the world. Their marriage speaks of a lot of pain, but there is clear love there, too. Love them, the emotions will follow. Normally there isn't a several year gap between those things though. But, the story and its pacing seemed well done.
