In this book Clayton makes it easy to drop our guards and listen to real life changing advice. He offers real life examples and leads us to life changing decisions so we can live free and live the life God wants for us. Clayton is a great man of God and I highly recommend this to anyone wanting change.

Encouraged to overcome

This book by Clayton King is profound, full of truth & encouraging. If you can read this book without feeling challenged to “overcome” then you might be missing something here and need to read it again.

For myself having been adopted into a very odd and unnatural family dynamic have lived most of my life since the age of 9 or 10 addicted to porn for various reasons and how it makes me feel; I am now 31 years old.
I needed this book today and listened to the whole book, it is to me as if I was just spiritual punched in the gonads; lol! I say that in a joking manner (the spirit does not punch you in the gonads, it’s a joke) and also seriously as well for I am challenged to overcome my habitual sins. This is a wake up call or better yet the spirit led Clayton King “calling me up” to where I can be.

Thank you for your dedication to God and the ministry. Clayton you know me somewhat and you are always a blessing to me life.

Wow!

I LOVE how Clayton broke down 9 lies that affect all of us and the way to break through them. This book is literally a How To on how to reset your life and live it through the way of God! Clayton’s ability to preach a biblical message that applies to everyday life through this book is tremendous! 5 stars all the way!
Just FYI, the book Stronger also by Clayton, made me give my life to Jesus a few weeks ago and I am lucky to call Clayton King a friend! He was the one who helped me give my life to Christ! So blessed for his help and friendship 🙂

Would you consider the audio edition of Overcome to be better than the print version?

Hearing the author's words spoken from his own perspective adds to the testimony and emphasis of the book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Overcome?

He may reference it quite a bit, but the part where the security staff member tells Clayton that the lady that had moved and restarted her life's boyfriend was saved when Clayton told her story is pretty awesome!

Any additional comments?

When Clayton starts breaking down each of the circumstances in his examples to the core lie that fuels the whole scenario, it's amazing how many of them I've struggled with myself. It's easy to believe them because the world emphasizes them which means to question the lies means you have to re-evaluate where you put your faith's stock. There are times in this book that I've had to stop it in tears, and other times I wish that family members could/would hear and take the message to heart. We've all struggled in life at some point, and if you have, this is the message you need to hear!
