This was a phenomenal read! I was encouraged, challenged, and drew closer to God's presence through this read. I’m the daughter of a Pastor and I sense in a lot of ways that the Lord will also use me in ministry the way he has used my parents. I’m Nigerian (so go ahead and factor the huge cultural divide) and I could never understand why I had to go through all I have been through. I’ve been attacked, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and I’ve seen the strain the ministry has taken on my parents marriage and our lives as their children. Thank you, thank you, and thank you a million times over for sharing your story with us the upcoming generation of pastors wives and children. Thank you for not taking all the experiences you had to the grave without telling the world how to overcome and how you overcame. Thank you for lighting my fire, renewing and wetting my heart with God’s love afresh. I picked up this book at the point where I was basically asked to leave the church. I was completely over it honestly, but this book reminds me that God is still passionate for his people and that my utmost goal is not whether people accept me or not but that people are pointed to Christ through the same ministry that threatens to burn us. It’s not a burning I realize, it’s the Refiners Fire. Thank you for being transparent and opening up your past, your wounds and your scars. Thank you for this great legacy, and thank you for all your years of service.
