Although Mercury now has incredible physical strength, she doesn’t know if she will be strong enough for what comes next—especially after the death of Ford, their companion through the aftermath of the mist.
The group finds respite in creating a small community in the John Day Fossil Preserve, near the Painted Hills in Oregon. Together, they hope to find a place where they can start over and rebuild a better world. Such a delightful series!
When i listened to the first book “Into the Mist” I was so enthralled that I listened to it twice in a row. I preordered this one and when it came out I reread the first one again and then got right to this one.
The characters are cleverly written and the scenery described so clearly I can picture it all in my head.
I got sucked into this world and will undoubtedly enjoy both books many more times in the future.
The narrator flawlessly distinguishes every single character and definitely nailed it!

So very good!
I loved the first book in this series and couldn't wait to read this second book. Both were amazing. PC does not disappoint. I really hope there will be more books in this series and soon. I definitely want more.
