OK Story

To be honest, I'm very torn with this review. Normally, I absolutely love everything written by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast, individually and separate as authors. For some reason this particular story did not grab me right out of the gate and it took me awhile to actually finish the story. As expected, it does end with cliffhanger, and truthfully it will depend on when the book comes out as to whether I decide to finish the story or not. If the second book comes out quickly then I probably will read it however, if the next book comes out in a year or so I don't think that I will care enough to read the end of the story. Saying that, makes me feel very bad because as I previously said I normally love stories written by these two the authors. The setting was okay, the storyline was okay, the characters were okay, I think the thing that just threw me off is that the characters reminded me of my 5th graders, 11-year-olds, rather than 18-year-olds heading off to college. So overall, the story was just okay, and I hope other people liked it better than I did! I decided to give the story three stars instead of two stars in hopes that the conclusion will be better written and this first book was more of world building/ getting to know the characters.

Easy world to escape into

I always love that I can count on these 2 women to bring feel good, easy to read books, that just help me escape. Can’t wait for book 2!!

It has it's moments

It's sad. With a bit more editing, this book could have been pretty good.

Some parts in this story are interesting, while others don't make add up and others still are painfully unoriginal!
I give this book a "meh".
Thanks to the interesting parts, I was somehow able to finish it. Though, there were times where the blatant plot holes and plot inconsistencies made me want to abandon it. I had to change the what it said in my mind a couple times in order to overlook the plot holes and reluctantly continue reading.

In true PC cast form they do it again. They suck you in the characters and keep you guessing,and than leave you hanging. this should be another great series from them.

Beautiful

Okay I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did. The story was so unique and crafted so well that I felt like I was on moon island with them. That ending has me shocked and dying for book two. If you like magic, mystery and self discovery this book is a sure win for you.

As usual the authors created a great story. It was captivating from start to finish. The ending definitely left me wanting more!

The last chapter was good

It was difficult to maintain interest in the book. possibly just not my personal preference regarding subject matter during character development.

Mixed review on this one. This story has been done so many times!!! This one has some strong threads but is very predictable. The dialog is often trite.
