50/50 plot and spice, ok maybe 40/60 plot and spice🔥

I wish Troy Duran wouldn’t use the super bass voice on younger characters. When he narrates in alto it’s so much easier to listen to for a character under 50. His super bass gives off hot grandpa or Sam Shepard silver fox vibes. Not young hockey gods. Other than that, I love his narration style and he’s a talented actor. The story of 4 hotties super obsessed with one ordinary girl hit all my fave tropes!

Fun times we’re had by all

I really liked this duet. Normally I’m not a fan of May Dawson, but being teamed up with CR Jane? That made it OK. I won’t read you the synopsis as you can see that in the preview of the book, however I will tell you it was very exciting. I’m thinking this is a new foray into the RH world for these ladies?? as the “joining” with everybody at times was a bit awkward, yes some of it flowed, but some of it was just not as spïcy as it could be.
We got to hear a bit more about what happened to Kennedy and her relationship with the guys. I would almost like to see them in high school and read the story of how they met to be honest. That one would probably keep my attention from beginning to end. Not like this one didn’t, I just liked book one a little better and hoped for a bit more from this book. I am a diehard, CR Jane fan so I can tell her writing right away throughout the story and on those parts I couldn’t put it down and drove a little bit for me and other parts not sure who wrote what but this wasn’t my favorite for CR.
That all being said, I still loved every second of it. I listened and read it was so good that I couldn’t stop in between and had to listening while I was driving! Troy Duran Duran, and Alexis Paige did an amazing job as always. There are two of my favorites and I’m never left unsatisfied.
All in all, a really good book about friendships being broken and reconnection made your good second chance romance. I’m on my way working back through CRJ‘s catalog as I love love love this author. Relatively new to me, but one of my favorites instantly!

Decent duet, spice and a plot twist you maybe didn't see coming

The spice was there and the plot was interesting- with a good twist- but the book just wasnt hitting all the spots for me. There are definitely good spice scenes and I especially love 2 in this book but the FMC still felt naive and helpless and the MMCs could have been developed a little better. Overall, it was okay. I love both narrators and CR Jane so I bought both books. Not sure about this collaboration though
