The author adds to the impending sense of doom when martial law is imposed and society collapses because of economic and food riots. And the hero is not home yet as an oil spill takes place.
This book paints a foreboding fictional picture of a possible and all-too-likely true scenario: a "what if" Armageddon. What do we do? How do we prepare? Stock more Preps, buy more ammo? Maybe we don't prepare and we just die.
