everyone should read this

loved it! caused many tears to form, but I am also a burn survivor. a victor, actually. I have always said I was going to write a book & though our stories are different, John's perspective is spot on to where I am in my life right now. especially to the way I ask Why Me? thank you for sharing your story and your perspective John. you've definitely inspired me to write my own book eventually.

What a story! John does a great job interweaving a personal tragedy with life lessons learned and that everyone can apply to their own lives. A real treat to hear this in the author's own voice.

Wonderfully inspiring

I was in tears out of sympathy at first, and then I was in tears out of the love that John describes that he experienced from athletes, care givers, and family members after the fire. I highly recommend this audio book. It's emotional but totally inspiring

Real motivation with real wisdom

This audiobook read by the author, John, is one of the most outstanding pieces of literature to remind us that we are alive. To remember that we are alive and to live like we are alive. It is a must read for everyone and ultimately points to the abundant life that is only available through Christ.

This book is on fire

This book made me laugh and cry in my car to and from work. People must have thought I was having a bad day. Great listen and had to pause and rewind quite a few times.

Simply the best

I have read numerous motivational and inspirational books over the last few years and this one is by far the best. I have listened to the book from beginning to end and have started again and am sure it will be on constant repeat. Applying some of John's thoughts and lessons to your life will make a difference.
