Acerca de esta escucha

Cradled in swords, the war child comes.

October. When leaves turn blood and the wind turns bone: a time for doing things dark and strange. So the princess bears a child to the winged thing and the cries are heard far beyond the peaks of Dragon's Teeth, at the end of the world's Beginning, where Nepanthe and Mocker wait for the war that wizards dread.

the mercenary leader-reluctant leader-Ragnarson gets pulled into battle after battle, the final one for a queen’s kingdom that’s falling apart after her husbands death.

Spoiler alert-The Dread Empire is at work behind the scenes. Kids switched for changelings, yet heirs on both “sides”(it gets confusing) end up assassinated. It seemed to me that there were many names of people, of towns, of leaders, and other sundry characters – all of which get thrown around throughout the book. Timelines switched around, along with allegiances. I believe I got the gist of the story, But I was glad that the story ended so I could move on-and hopefully get some clarity with the third in the sequence. I love Glen Cook, however the Black Company series was much more satisfying, albeit they were written after these books.

Get the gist, but prepare for confusion
