good book

Tom's character was a little annoying at times but overall it was a good book!

Suspense

Excellent installment. Definite page turner. Fast paced, action packed and very well written. Definite recommend.

Brilliance in the writing!

When the author writes the character development, so Chris clear and impactful that you have several gut tightening experiences throughout the book you know it’s exquisitely. I was significantly impressed at how the story had impactful moments throughout.

great, but abrupt ending

you'll like the story, it's pace, and tbe narration. you'll wish the ending had more substance.... it was too abrupt.

Great story, aggravating characters

The story was intriguing, however, the purported "expert" crime writer was so annoying in his dialogue and interference. I guess that's the sign of a well-written character that gets under your skin but this had me rolling my eyes. If he cried out for his wife one more time, or didn't listen to the police, or ignored directions, I thought I would scream. All that said, it was a good story with lots of creepy criminals and probably closer-to-the-truth journalists hunting for the next news story at any cost. I'm not sure I could listen to more of Tom Reed (lead/award-winning journalist) but it was entertaining. The narrator did so many voices that I often thought that there must be multiple narrators, so bravo for the voices of a young boy, various women reporters, and the multitude of men including the criminals, the lead characters, the detectives, etc.

No Way Back

Wow, if you are looking for a fast, fantastic story, this is it. You never know how it is going to end and how the kidnapers can be caught. Will definitely be reading more in this series. The narration is excellent.

Had me from the beginning!

What a great book! It developed the characters well, showed their strengths and weaknesses, kept the intrigue going from beginning to end, and built the suspense throughout. I couldn’t stop listening! Plus, I never tired of the narrator, he did a great job!

Couldn't put it down

Excellent storyline. Suspenseful, the characters were engaging and ending was satisfying. Fully recommend this book & author.
