Our lives are full of nonmaterial experiences and emotions such as love, happiness, joy, wonder, empathy, deep connection between mother and child, sense of morality, achievement, and realization - all of which speak to our spiritual nature. There is, however, a more scientific and materialistic view of the world that prevails and which denies the existence of anything that is spiritual or nonmaterial. This view denies that we are more than pure quarks and electrons and are in fact endowed with rich spiritual, purposeful, and meaningful lives.
The book tackles profound questions regarding our existence, explaining the facts supporting evolution as well while acknowledging that evolution does not exclude the presence of a creator who started the process. No Greater Faith Than That of Science also approaches the subject of consciousness and the many neurological and physiological explanations for it.
