Night of the hunter, by RA Salvatore, picks up where the companions left off. This book is not just about Drizzt and his companions however, it is about the drow.
Here we see the further machinations of the residents of menzoberanazan as well as the new city of q'xorlaran. Intrigue backhanded Deals and plenty of back stabbing are the highlight of this book as Salvatore takes deeper into the realms of the drow.

I felt like it was dry at times and hard to listen it but mostly great performance and story. I enjoyed hearing the tales of companions of the hall.

I love the intrigue of the Drow. This book delivers in every way possible. Absolutely amazing.

Victor Bevine's Legend of Drizzt narrarations are second to none. His character voices are perfect. Especially Bruenor Battlehammer. I love this series. Truly, one of my all time favorites.

An older co worker recommended this series to me last year, and I've been enjoying every single book, the story between the friends of the halls is so well written I've enjoyed the story,
the only gripe i have is they NEVER give my boy wolfgar any upgrades, wtf is with that? every single other of the main group gets constant upgrades throughout the series, the only thing wolfgar has EVER gotten was his hammer, no other upgrades after that, why? i wanna see my boy decked out.
