Don’t waste a credit on this one
I have listened to several puppy books, and highly recommend the one by Dr Dunbar. When I chose to pay for this one as well, I thought there might be insight into the Bichon Frisé temperament. Besides the fact that the narrator says “Bichon Frisé” in every other sentence (annoying), the only thing specific trait I was able to glean was they are a happy breed and can get their feelings hurt. There must have been at least two pages on why it’s important to have raised bowls for large breed dogs to eat and drink from. How does this pertain to the Bichon? The writing is poor and and does not offer what the title claims. The narrator is difficult to listen to as well though it may be the material she is trying to sell. Please don’t use this book on how to raise a Bichon puppy. For instance this writer suggests using rawhide chews a lot. Ask your vet. Do they still recommend rawhide chews for small dogs? Probably not. Your Bichon deserves a new pet parent who is informed on how to train a puppy. Please listen to a different book. I recommend Dr Dunbar’s puppy guide. There are other good authors as well. I wish Audible would remove this one. Very disappointed.
