Home run

I was biting my nails waiting for my pre-order to become available (Stephen King is my favorite author) and it did NOT disappointed! Not even halfway through the first chapter I heard “Finders Keepers” and was filled with excitement. The narrator did such an amazing job as she switched from character to character. It kept me pulled in from start to finish. Hit this one right out of the park!! Can’t wait for the next one that I too have on pre-order. I’ve read my way through his entire catalog so as he puts them out I’ll keep right on reading. Rereading his past publications in the meantime.

It was a great mystery story

I love everything SK writes. The narration of Holly was much better than the last one. I will definitely listen to this book more than once.
I hope he’s starting to feel better after the hip surgery. It’s harder when we age. Rest, rest and more rest.

Ordinary story

Not my favorite King story. My heart rate and anxiety level stayed low - I was never scared or invested in these rather ordinary characters. I couldn’t wait for it to end. I am still a huge King fan but this story was not for me. Can’t win them all, I guess.

Fantastic Narration

Enjoyed the book and especially the continuation of the Holly character. But, the narration was the best part. Hoping SK sticks with her on other books.

Awesome Read

I loved having Holly Gibney back in action. At first, I thought she was going to be more of a secondary character to Izzy, but she soon took over.
I appreciated the fact that everything was believable. I love the supernatural, but sometimes one just wants realistic. Yes, the odds of 2 killers colliding are pretty high. Still, it’s possible.
As a medical professional, I was a little curious how Trigg got his hands on pentobarbital, but it wasn’t relevant enough to ruin the plot.
Bottom line: great plot, awesome characters, and the ending “battle” was not drawn out with miraculous character rebounds. ( that always drives me crazy - one character defeating a dozen opponents at once…)

What a story..

He never fails, and the afterword made me cry. And maybe even changed the way I think about myself in society as a religious person.

Classic King

I’ve always been a fan of Sir King’s characters, and this writing is no exception. I genuinely hope that Holly, Barbara, and Jerome continue their journey.

Just to be clear, I am a Stephan King fan to my core. I have never LISTENED to a Stephan King book, this is the first time. I was worried that I would hate the performance, I loved it. For sure worth the listen.

Narrator

Talk about range. Stephen King at his finest with some flavors of John Sanford. What really did it for me was the narration bringing the book to life. One to reread soon

Love the Holly Gibney character. Did not like the way it followed Psycho storyline so much with multiple personalities after traumatized childhood by parent.
