LOVED this one! Shay Michaels is everything with fostering her animals and rescuing all the ones who need help but all in her neighbor, Jonah Baudouin, the one who never met a rule he would not break and she is a goner. What is she going to do when she has too many dogs or kittens but drop one off to him and when he issues her a ticket and it hits FB because his rival sheriff nominee posts it, what is he going to do but back her up. However, is all lost when he actually arrests her? Oh, this one was nothing but cute and good and was perfect! I cannot wait to continue with this rest of this series, I already have the audios loaded and ready to go.

Cute story for an easy listen ! Even better if you like animals since the story's main character runs an animal rescue shelter :)

Marina Adair you are the best writer, Renee Raudman you are the best Narrated . Loved all the characters even Warren.I recommend people to listen to this book , it's wonderful , even the animals are great.

Absolutely Adorable

This story was the epitome of a slow burn romance.

The male lead was stubborn and hard headed but love-able. The female lead was a bit broken and gun shy of love but fell so hard for mister stubborn.

The ending made you smile so big and it made all of the struggle worth it.

Sweet, cute, love and animals!

Easy Read

I liked this well enough to say a few words about it as i don't usually write reviews. This is a light easy read with all the elements of a good romance. A good beach read with dogs and cats..... An added plus for me. I would recommend this. 4 to 4.5 stars.

The pet were cute but the h/H were boring and took forever to start their relationship. The hot cop from next door were not that interesting after all...

I love this author!!!!

This is the 3 rd book I have listened to from this author and I love them all!!! Heartache, love, romance, lots of humor with a little bit of hotness !!! The books have a great storyline and Marina knows how to tell a story without filler words just to get a word count . The narration is also great!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

My Kind of Hero

Be careful with this book. You may find yourself longing for a pet, if you don't already have one, after reading this story.
Marina Adair wove a story steeped in small town closeness, a longing to be intricately connected to that town and a love strong enough to break through the insecurities of two people running from their past.
I appreciate Ms. Adair's ability to write a story with many levels. There was a great deal more going on than a sweet love story between two multi-dimensional characters who fought their feelings for each other from the beginning. The personality of the town and two and four-legged secondary characters were funny, intriguing and real.
I loved Shay's headstrong and quirky nature. It was the perfect antithesis to Jonah's straightforward and structured nature. Shay's elderly friends were a hoot. I found myself smiling widely and laughing out loud at the women's antics, but by the end of the book my smile was due to the warm feelings of satisfaction.
Renee Raudman did a great job with all the different character voices. Her performance was stellar and added to the enjoyment of this book.
