I love Olive!

While I’m not a huge fan of this narrator, I enjoy Olive’s cases and love Sara Rosett’s writing! This was a great winter cozy mystery.

A Typical Installment

If you like the series, then you will like this book. It’s a fast listen. I thought it took a little long to get to the central story, but once there Olive handled it with her typical analytical methods. Looking forward to the next installment.

Good High Society series sequel with Olive and Jasper as new dynamic duo of mysteries

Interesting

I like how olive doesn’t make stupid Decisions to endanger her life and asks Jasper for help. They do work well together and look forward to hearing more in the continuing saga of Olive and Jasper

My favorite book in this series!!

I absolutely love this series of books, but Murder in the Apls is by far the BEST! It honestly kept me guessing until the end. I pride myself on always figuring out the culprit but this one was definitely a brain twister. I also appreciate how Sara Rosett always stays true to the time with her vocabulary and settings. I’ve listened to many other books based on the 1920’s that don’t and it takes away. You really get lost in the era with this series and I adore that.
I highly highly recommend BUT start from the beginning.

Love this series, good characters, very cozy. Love the narration as well. Note for production - too long of a pause in between end of chapter and next chapter. Sometimes I thought audible crashed.

Good story, enough twist and turn to listen at one time. Narrator good. Enjoying all of this series.

Awkward Style, Plot Holes

Characterization was particularly poor in this installment, and the storyline barely held up through the book. it felt like the author cared more about exploring St. Moritz than writing a plot and having scenes and characters fit into it in a satisfying way. there was no motive for the murder and I was disappointed to have been sure of the solution from the beginning. It flows easily and is a pleasant read, but a moment's pause is enough to realize just how much this book is missing.
