Pretty good

Murder at the Taffy Shop is a pretty good cozy mystery with engaging characters and an entertaining plot. I look forward to the next book.

Very funny, very sunny!

I am seriously enjoying this series! Especially the gorgeous parrot character, she’s delightful. I also love how each of the characters are developing in each book of the series.

This is my 2nd Maddy Day and I can’t wait to start #3. Easy listening.

Great Cozy Mystery!

The storyline is really well written with twists and turns but not dark. The characters are so interesting I couldn’t put it down. I love a series and I starting the next one right now!

Bikeshop owner Mac and her best friend taffy shop owner Gin find Beverly Ruchart outside the taffy shop dead one morning on their way to take their daily walk. Mac is determined to clear her best friend's name of the murder. Mac asks around about people who knew the deceased while also dealing with some hard things in her personal life. Can Mac help the cops find the killer before it's too late?

What can I say? Maddie Day really can do no wrong. I love her books! I really love that this book has a cozy mystery book club. I find that so much fun! I love Mac as a character. I love that she has quirks but is also willing to work with others. This book just makes me want to go rent a bike on Cape Cod! There were so many options for the whodunnit in this book that it had me guessing the whole way through. I loved the way it was solved, though! Bella is such a character and she keeps me laughing through the whole book. I can't wait for the next one!

SO HAPPY THAT THE 2ND BOOK IN THIS FUN SERIES WAS FINALLY RELEASED ON AUDIBLE. THE CHARACTERS, THE SETTING, THE STORYLINE, AND BELLE, OF COURSE, ARE ALL WONDERFUL. I SINCERELY HOPE IT DOESN'T TAKE ANOTHER 2 YEARS TO GET BOOK 3.

easy listen, good for background

I like this series. It's good to have on in the background when I'm working or to listen to when I go for a walk and need a break from music. I like the first book in the series better. I'll probably listen to the whole series since I have the background info on most of the characters and am a bit invested in what happens with Mac and Tim. I thought the line about being a vegetarian was obviously not a weight loss diet (in reference to Zane's husband) was a little out of place for the character of Mac. And I also thought it was hilarious that the author made an obvious jab at Amazon in chapter 44 while Mac and Belle both talked to Alexa several times in the book - and that it audiobook is available on Audible!
