But when they arrive, a crowd is gathered in front of the closed shop: a local fisherman with a fresh cod delivery, a food critic, Mrs. Chipper’s ex-husband who’s opening a competing fish and chips shop directly across the street, and a repairman to fix the vent for the deep fryer. With Siobhán and Macdara as witnesses, a local handyman gets the locked door open, only to find the proprietor lying dead and covered in flour at the base of a ladder, its rungs coated in slippery fat. Clearly this was not an accidental tragedy . . .

Even as the local garda take over the murder investigation, Siobhán and Macdara can’t help themselves from placing their long-delayed honeymoon on hold—at least until they can help apprehend an elusive killer.

Good story line

The plot took enough turns to keep you guessing. it was nice to follow the O'Sullivan 6 as they matured.

Such good writing and the reader is the best there is!

This is one of my very favorite series of books and Caroline Lennon reads it in such a way you feel as though you are there!

Another Geeat Irish Mystery

I loved the characters and the web they wove. I enjoyed the family interaction and the man & wife Garda & her detective husband.

i just love this series, and Caroline Lennon's narration is spot in. her accent lends to the feel of the locations and characteristics of the story.

I didn’t see the that ending coming. I love how different the characters are.

Nothing to dislike at all just sad the family is splitting up. Keep up the great work. I can’t wait to read your next book.

Not as good as her others

This book was okay, but not as engaging as the previous ones in this series. It was complicated to keep track of all the characters and abbreviated side plots, most of which didn't add to the story or to the mystery.

Great Book

Fun intriguing and Ireland, it doesn't get any better. I love Carlene's books! They take me on a journey and keep me entertained

A look at small Irish villages and the interactions of the people.

This title was better than the others as its ending was not as much of a “Scooby Doo”.
All of the other books were totally “Scooby Doo” ending - story for x number of pages required and it’s a hurry up let’s revival who did what in 2-3 pages, story ends.

Can't get enough!

I just love these books! Each character brings something to the table, and the banter when they're together❤️! The narrator is awesome! More please😁

Fish & Chips

Good "read". Story has the elements to entertain the "reader" / "listener". As you look back you see elements of the plot opened but not resolved until the end. they just kind of flick their tail and are out of sight. The story site adds a crisp outside, with a fluffy inside. Fish & Chips
