Lady Catherine de Bourgh is prepared to be very generous when it comes to medical care for her sickly daughter, Anne - generous enough to lure noted physician Dr. Thomas Bennet to give up his London practice and move his family to Rosings Park. As Anne’s health takes a turn for the worse, Darcy and Elizabeth are thrown together as Dr. Bennet struggles to save Anne’s life. Darcy can no longer deny the truth - he is in love with Elizabeth Bennet. But Lady Catherine will do anything to stop Darcy from marrying her - even if it means Elizabeth will lose everything she loves.

A good read.

This book held my interest all the way through. I found the performance by a woman to be very good. I noticed a review that would not agree. The author, I believe, may fancy herself as uh
having a connection.with Sherlock Holmes. Her Elizabeth could deduce a great deal about people with little information, and she was never wrong. However I enjoyed the story and the different take on the dynamics of the Bennet family.. I would recommend the book.

Great....

I really enjoyed this book. I did read it some time ago, but listening to it now made it feel brand new. The "normal" characters are a little different, making the story original and new feeling. Narration was exceptional.

Very Entertaining

Though the characters were very different from what I had known in past variations, I thoroughly enjoyed every twist and turn. I especially enjoyed the inner dialogue of Elizabeth and Darcy during their interactions. I will definitely re-read this book in the future!

Good Jaff

Good Jaff but only one complaint really and that was that Lizzie was too timid and obedient. Mr Bennet was horrid. But still a good story.

Not as good as Book 2

This book is good but not as good as the next book. It provides as background for Book 2 but is not neccesary to know what is going on.. This book features Elizabeth and Darcy but includes parts featuring the other Bennett sisters as well as Mr. and Mrs. Bennett. Lady Katherine is the worst of the villains. Book two features Lydia and it is awesome.
