Great Read

Mason James was a great book by Ciana Stone. This is book two in the Heartbreakers & Heroes series. Mason has dance moves that all the women in their town want. No one knows that dance isn't the only thing to Mason. A baby is left on his doorstep and he doesn't know what to do. Fortunately for him, he has Savannah to help him. I absolutely loved reading Mason and Savannah's story and can't wait to read more in this series.

Beautiful Story

I got this ARC via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This was one well written and narrated story. Just a smidgen of sex which was just enough. The story was the star of the show. All of the characters added to the story and brought it to life. Loved the daughter's dedication to he dad. too often events like this happen. Leaders we think are honorable turn out to be rotten to the core. So glad they found their HEA.

Unexpected Parenthood

Mason has come home, retired and starting a new life, as a dance instructor. Savannah is a writer with an amazing talent and a past that is hard. Two hearts find healing together and an unexpected arrival brings them even closer. The narrator is amazing and you can visualize the dirty dancing.

A lot of angst and drama in this romance..........

Mason James is the second book in this series, but I have not read book one, and I had no difficulty following the story. This book is definitely a high angst and high drama romance, but it is still very entertaining if you don't mind a tug or twenty on the heartstrings. Mason James appears to be a gorgeous bad boy who is working in Cotton Creek as a dance instructor. Of course, with that description, you can imagine that every woman in town is lusting after him. However, he is pretty aloof from the attention, and the author keeps hinting at some dark and mysterious past for him. When he meets Savannah and begins giving her dancing lessons, the spark between the two is instantaneous. Savannah is an incredibly successful career woman; after building and selling several health spas, she is now a romance writer. She has come to Cotton Creek to stay with friends and write a collaboration with a famous local author. Like Mason, Savannah has many secrets of her own, and it truly broke my heart listening to her tragic past once it is revealed. For all of his appearance to the contrary, Mason is a deeply caring, responsible, trustworthy man, and all of these strengths are just intensified once the author finally tells us his true history. This story will bring some tears, but it just makes the HEA that more satisfying in the end.

Rhett Samuel Price is an amazing narrator, and he does his usual excellent job with this book. He differentiates very well between characters, and he adds the perfect level of emotion. It takes a talented narrator to handle highly emotional scenes well, and Price is terrific with Savannah's voice when she is crying and getting upset. Luckily, there are plenty of happy and sensual scenes as well, and Price is the perfect choice with his deep, velvety voice.

Mason and Savannah Have Moves

Couldn’t put this one down! Wow! I read the first book in this series -Heartbreakers and Heroes - and knew I needed to read more. Mason James did not disappoint. You can read the excerpts to see what it’s about. This book is a page turner! I needed to know what was going to happen next. There were a number of twist and turns that took me by surprise as well. Excellent read!
I read this story when it first came out (review above), but I am now listening to the series. It’s been a while and things have slipped my mind about specifics in the story and listening brings all my emotions out again. Mason and Savannah are great together. Wonderful story. Rhett Samuel Price did justice to the various characters. I wasn’t expecting Mr. Price and am still get-ting used to his read.
