With clues that inform who is speaking, the author moves away from conventional form, changing tense, voice, and point-of-view in a stream-of-consciousness akin to magic realism.
With this new novel, the action continues from Markman's Home, and further explains the events and characters in the author's previous work. Markman's Cave is another fascinating look into the world of what might-have-been, or what-could-be.
