However, I eventually found the courage to leave my abuser, but it didn't end there. As you may know, ending a relationship with a narcissist isn't that easy - even if it was the narc who did the breaking up. They don't just "let you go" - they try to make sure you'll go through hell before you get one over on them.

Excellent book. I have listened to it several times now. And I am sure I will refer back to it many times. Currently trying the no contact. I hope I can be successful this time!!

Loved it!! 1st audio book so took many times to listen to whole book. The info is like the story is abt u personally!!

Help

This book put light on all I have been through and understand ways of being committed to finding help to recovery . My life will forever be changed due to him and the mental and physical abuse , but I know I will get stronger with help and now having this book to hear and share over and over.

I really wish I would have availed myself of this type of information at the time things were so extremely confusing for me.... devaluation phase. which in a 30 year relationship can span a substantial period of time. the information in this book is provided in a very thoughtful and caring manner. understanding what happened is essential to forgiving yourself and healing. I still have tremendous guilt for bringing my kids into this and am a bit angry that I allowed this to occur for so long. but it is true that we question if we can possibly make it through and this book did also give me hope for some type of peace and even possibly Joy at some future point in time. they're actually maybe a life worth living yet.
