Acerca de esta escucha
Brought to you by Penguin.
**As seen on Lorraine**
Sunday Times bestselling author Dr Rangan Chatterjee reveals how to make positive change that actually lasts in his latest, most innovative book to date.
We all have things we rely on going our way to help us feel calm and happy. Your partner waking up in a good mood. No traffic on the way to work. No queues at the supermarket. And no rain on your day off.
But what happens when things don’t work out that way? We fall back on soothing habits. A trip to the cupboard for snacks. Scrolling on social media. A few beers or a couple of glasses of wine after a stressful day.
Make Change that Lasts will show you the nine hidden ways day to day life causes these responses -- and show you how to respond to them consciously. Blending ancient philosophy with a deep understanding of health, host of one of the biggest podcasts on the planet, Feel Better, Live More, Dr Rangan Chatterjee will provide a personalized approach and simple techniques for reducing our reliance on the chaotic and uncertain outside world.
This book will help you to become an expert in yourself - finally unlocking true, long-lasting health and happiness.
'It's super, a lovely, heartfelt book, I really felt it all the way through' Ranvir Singh on Lorraine

'It's thought that between 70 and 90 percent of GP consultations are related to stress.' This has to change. Dr Rangan Chatterjee knows this better than anyone. As a practising GP he's seen firsthand how stress affects his patients and has found simple but effective methods to help them. Now he's on a mission to show that combating stress is easier than you think. He shows how a small change in the way you approach your body-mind relationship's purpose can help you lead a more fulfilled, calmer life.

You might believe you’re thinking clearly in the moments that matter most. But in all likelihood, when the pressure is on, you won’t be thinking at all. And your subsequent actions will inevitably move you further from the results you ultimately seek—love, belonging, success, wealth, victory. According to Farnam Street founder Shane Parrish, we must get better at recognizing these opportunities for what they are, and deploying our cognitive ability in order to achieve the life we want.

new and revolutionary approach to self help
For a while now I've been thinking the same things Rangan talks about and wondered if I'm onto something. I'm really relieved to hear that I'm on the right path and I'll definately continue following dr Rangans suggestions. I hope that this book will be translated into estonian language soon, so I can recommend it to some older people who don't speak english, actually I would be happy to translate it myself so I could really take in all the knowledge.

Good encouragement
The book covers a number of areas which are key for happiness and gives suggestions on these topics. It’s a bit obvious but a good summary.
