Caleb and Abby

This is a good second chance love story. Caleb left his hometown for 12 years, only to return again to the love he left behind. Abby moved on with her life and got married, so now will a death bring them together again? Narration was good. The overall just didn’t quite nudge me to a 5 but I still recommend this.

Will they get a second chance at love?

Caleb made a choice to leave his hometown forever 12 years ago and abandon the girl he loved without an explanation. Now a tragedy brings him back to town and he must face the woman he's convinced himself to forget.

Abby has never been able to forget her first love. He left her and never looked back. Her devastation caused her to make an impulsive decision to leave town and marry the first man she met after Caleb. Now she's divorced and back in her hometown dating a guy she deems as safe and predictable.

Caleb swears he'll never settle down. He's a guy who wants to sample everything on buffet and the women he meets are more than ready to give him what he's looking for. He's convinced himself that he left Abby so she could have a better life, but now that they've reconnected he's not so sure. Will fate give them a second chance at love or will a scorned ex lover end it before it can begin?

This is a great collaboration between R.R. Banks and Rodney Falcon. Rodney gives an individual voice to the characters which brings the story to life.

... no, just no. I think the story may have been better if I could have gotten past the Narrator.

This was an ok book

This wasn't the best book I've listened to on this app. The story line was lacking for me. I didn't like how the Caleb the main man was such a man whor. Even when he ran into Abby, his long lost love, he still took a girl back and slept with her knowing that it would hurt her more than he already had because the girl was a sorta enemy of Abby's. I also didn't like that majority of the book he avoided seeing her and talking to her. But it was saved by Caleb finally getting his head on straight and figuring things out with sweet Abby and saved her from her deranged ex twice.

Different

This book was different from what I expected. The summary talks about how she’s never had an orgasm by her partner. But in the book, he never even knows this. Also, I found it distracting that they don’t meet until halfway through the book.

Good story

I enjoyed this second chance romance. It was a good story with good narration. I recommend this audiobook.

Major O....

This is a good story filled with drama, angst, and passion. I enjoyed the characters along with the story. I got to learn about both MC’s and their past before we got to see them together.
My biggest issue is that the male lead has sexy times with more than the lead female. I know they aren’t together but he has seen her and was thinking about her and their past while with another. He seems to me to be a man whore and it’s like the female lead doesn’t care that he was with her rival the night before. Too realistic for me. Anyway the story is good and has many nice points to it. I listened to this on audio. Rodney Falcon did an amazing job as always.

Finally getting her release :)

Story: Gonna give this one a 3 star. I liked the story line enough, but did not really care for the characters. Caleb was kind of a douche and Abby was a total doormat. Way too forgiving for my liking and accepted him back into her life even after the first time she sees him in years is on the arm of a HS nemesis that he has every intention of bedding down. That in his thoughts and conversations with this chick mentioned how they always had a spark between them but could never act on it because timing wasn't right. Makes me wonder if he was referring to when he was with Abby...just odd. Abby was a shrink and was completely clueless to what was going on around her...

Narration: Rodney Falcon is AMAZING. He did the voices of both characters well. Exactly how I pictured both Caleb and Abby - especially Abby...she sounded completely dejected after years of pining after Caleb. Will definitely listen to more of Rodney's books just not so sure about this author.

Inconsistent story and doomat heroin

I'm a romance lover but particular with female character. One thing is for sure, doormat heroin makes me turn from loving sweet corn to turning it into molded corn. That's what was like with this story. This is not a spoiler but I'm stating my opinion on this story. After wasting five hours, I earn this right. The hero and heroin took more than half of the story to meet and I still cannot feel the connection. The hero kept telling the other guy a douchbag yet he was one. After more than half into the story, the heroin was a doormat. She was supposed to educated but acted as if she from another planet. Rodney was the reason kept me listening, Another comment that I wanted to make is that, there was no condom mentioned while this douchbag was screwing every girl he encountered. Ugh! I felt sorry for this girl. Who knows what kind of disease he's caring. Even Rodney can't save it. I stopped one hour and ten before it ended.

A fantastic major O listen

This is my first listen from the author R.R . Banks . He has a great story told . His story is fast paced. Has many twists and turns that will keep you at the edge of your seat , but rooting for the couple .

Caleb is really he's a player, but he likes to pretend he’s a bad boy Caleb was badly hurt in his younger days and he doesn’t want anyone near his heart again . The only way he can do that is to go from women to women. He’s out with a date , not really a date but a women when he passes another women who catches his eye . It’s Abby that catches his eye.
Abby can’t believe in seeing Caleb again . After Caleb hurt her heart she doesn’t know what to do . And to top it off she sees he’s with a woman.

How will Caleb and Abby handle seeing each other again .
Rodney was great in this story. He did the characters fantastic. His voice is smooth, strong , clear and strong
