Great book and performance

Love graphic audio, this author, and series! I am always on the hunt for good audiobooks. Keep them coming!

My favorite series I already have all the Audio in regular format narrated by Renee but I really think graphic audio makes it Way Better, I recommend this for fantasy romance lovers who love different voices and sounds

Love this series so much I bought it again!

I have read the book, listened to the original audio book and just finished listening to this version for the second time. What keeps me coming back is their superior quality of world building and the depth of their character development. Even minor characters are given back stories and depth, not one note cardboard cutouts. ❤️

Worth the credit!

I love this series and have all the books and most of the original audiobooks. So I was skeptical of buying a version of an audiobook I already have and love. But the way the cast did this made it come to life in a new way making me love this series even more. The cast is again perfect for each role and the music and sound effects don’t drown out spoken words, as sometimes happens in dramatized audiobooks, in my opinion. In addition, the added Curran POV scenes are an excellent addition to this already great book. So I strongly recommend this.

I truly love love the Kate Daniel’s series and have read and listened to the original audio book (which is good) i think they’d make great movies but until then the graphic audio are really the next thing!!! Such a fun and engaging listen!

Love this series!

I've read the entire series and I couldn't pass up the chance to listen to the Dramatized Adaptation version. The voice of Curran is purrrfect. And the bonus of Curran's POV at the end is like a cherry on top. Kate and Curran are the ultimate power couple!

Alright, I’m in

“You’d pull on death’s whiskers if you could reach them.”
Granted, during the slow parts there’s still weird hillbilly-Muzak playing, and during the fight scenes there’s way too many Batman splats and yaks, but the multi-cast voicing has won me over. While I will forever hear Rene Raudman as the voice of Kate Daniels, this cast brings Aunt Bea, Doolittle, Gastec and Andrea to life with a variety that a single narrator can’t beat.

This book is still foundational, giving us the magic rules, more clues to Kate’s history, and introducing series regulars like Andrea and Julie. It’s a little on the slow side (including Kate and Curran’s flirtation), however, that’s one of the pluses of scripted audio: this comes in at under 8 hours, not counting the bonus chapter that replays a big scene from Curran’s POV.

I’ll definitely get the rest of the series in scripted audio, even if I’ll wait for a sale.
I’ll also hope they turn it down a notch on the background Muzak.

Ilona Andrews is one of my fav authors and this series is on the top of my urban fantasy romance list
I loooove Kate Daniels and Graphic Audio brought this book to life 😊 Amazing performance! Can’t wait for the rest of the series to come out!

Awesome Re-listen

New dramatic version adds more depth to the story. Any of the Kate Daniels audibles are old favorite reads or listens

Ahhhh

Much better adaptation than MB. I do admit the music at sad parts made me laugh. You know that joke about the 🎻 when someone is melodramatic? Yeah. Literally violins? Maybe not, but I guess the vibe it gave me is clear. I would cry at this parts in previous reads and now with the music I felt like the characters were getting disrespected. The bad choice in music and volume bothered me once or twice. But this time it was easier to manage the face expressions(not even on purpose) of "wtf" and/or the almost automatic disconnection from the story.

The cast did great. They are part of the reason all of what bothered me didn't do it as much as in MB.

The battle scene, that beginning of it, Kate's crazy laugh, perfectly done. Loved Julie's voice.
