Since Lady Luck had sent Doc to this weird, western world, a lot had happened. It started in Deep Gulch, a small mining town in what he would have called Colorado if he’d been on Earth. Doc hit the ground running, making enemies and friends from his very first day.

With Luck beside him, Doc went to work improving the lives of those he counted as friends. Despite his enemies having both money and power, in the end Doc was the last one standing. When the dust settled, Deep Gulch was well on its way to becoming a beacon of progressiveness in the west.

Before leaving the town of Deep Gulch, Doc found himself facing some difficult decisions; the most difficult was leaving behind potential children, just in case the worst happened and he died. If those children were born, they would give Luck the chance to continue freeing the world from the Darkness trying to kill it.

His second decision was to ordain his near-adopted daughter, Posy, as a priestess of Luck. As a gift from the goddess, she gained the power to heal. Doc knew that she would be a bright point of hope in the town.

The future was mostly unknown, but he had a destination to start with: Furden, the capital of the Coalrud territory. Getting there would also allow him to marry Sophia. She’d been a key part of his success in Deep Gulch, and he was looking forward to her joining their family.

What would happen in Furden and the plans for what would come after were unknown, but Doc has Luck behind him, his family beside him, and a world that needs saving.

I think the horse is dead

Andrea killed it (the performance), it was amazing. I was laughing hysterically with her during the bloopers at the end. Daniel seems to be beating a dead horse trying to convey the same message over and over in this series. It's been a bit annoying at times, but overall, I've enjoyed the story and I'm too many books in to quit now.

filler book. just not as much action.

Noticing Schinhofen is more and more with his series. So focusing on the plural relationships that it just makes the story drag on.

Another great book

this is a great series and a great book it was thoroughly enjoyable when the game looking forward to the next one

Narration is phenomenal but story was lacking

Story really didn't move much, it basically just repeated itself over and over. "oh look how virtuous I am" "he's so rich and powerful yet so humble" the other half of the book is focused on other peoples' romance or talking about his wives having "relations" with each other and "ladies of the night" basically anyone but him. There's a word for that but idk if it's okay to write in a review. Honestly, this isn't as suffocating as the last two books in Binding Words, but it's still WAYYYYYY too much.

I love this book

Another great book and a great series. Great character, progression great series, progression more more more please and love the bloopers.

Excellent book

This is an excellent book despite being later in the series and I enjoy this so very much when a series can maintain its momentum over several books

fun

spends most of the book setting up for the books to follow, but given their change of location, that makes sense

all Daniel's books are great

this is the second time I've read this and listen to it and I've actually gone through the entire title just to get back to this point so yeah all your books great Daniel I don't know where I'm going to be when you stop writing most of these books because it's like I'm going to crack addict for another fix coming out so give me my fix when's the next book coming out

Slow and steady

This series keeps putting out the same quality every time. I'm looking forward to the next one.
