Timely and insightful

This book very thoughtfully and thoroughly addresses the many aspects of transition. The author very sensitively approaches the emotional, relational, and physical impacts of making an overseas move, and gives practical and useful advice based upon her own experience and the experiences of many others whom she has walked alongside through “Looming Transitions.” This book is very timely for us as we prepare to leave after 25 years of serving in Asia.

I'm facing an unwanted transition, and this book has been so helpful in helping me process the grief of transitioning. Loved it!!

Great!

This was just what I was looking for to prepare myself and my family for going overseas! It was such a good resource and felt very personal and not simply a list of what to do. Read at least 6 months prior to the move if possible, otherwise you may find yourself worrying you won’t be able to do things well, or that you could have done better. Thanks to Covid, we got a few more months than expected, which allowed me to use the time wisely with help from this book! :)

This book was incredible for getting me ready for my transition back to my passport country. I will be reading again and recommending to anyone who is going to be facing a cross-cultural transition. Thank you Amy for writing this!

This book gave me a lot to think about. Not all of it was applicable, but there was enough to make it worth the listen.
