It is the story of moving from being the unintended target of political terrorism to becoming the founder of Survivors of the Shield, a group that advocates for and provides support and assistance to the spouses and children of New York City police officers killed in the line of duty. It is the story of how she moved from poverty to the suburbs and refused to go back after Brian's death. It is a story of resilience in the face of senseless tragedy. And it is the story of evil villains and surprising superheroes.

I was fasinated by the story. Shocked to be so uninformed it happened. Thankful for the knowledge. Bravo Aunt Kathy, bravo.

Excellent Book

The book was so well written. The author told the story so vivid, I could imagine I was there. Which was at times difficult due to the tragic nature. I would just like to say, Kathleen Murray Moran, thank you for all you have done for individuals you have help through your work. You are an amazing person and your book was excellent.

Wow! Powerful story!

Few people realize that there was a terrorist attack on Sept. 11th 1976. Kathleen’s husband Brian was a member of the NYPD bomb squad that fateful day, and as the terrorist hijacked a plane to Paris, the bomb they’d planted in a locker at Grand Central Station detonated killing Brian and injuring several members of his team.

This is a story of tragedy, redemption, inspiration, and forgiveness. Kathleen found answers to her questions in the most unlikely of all places...with one of the terrorist (Julie Busic) who she corresponded with for three years while she sat in prison for Brian’s murder.

Beautifully written and honestly told, this book is definitely worth listening to.
