the princess and the bodyguard

A great princess and her bodyguard romantic suspense story. A bit of a slow burn. Great family drama and of course love and twists.

The narrator has a super sexy voice but he is a bit robotic and incredibly slow!! I had to speed up the audio A LOT! It's why a < 200-page book is an 8 hr audio lol

Liam seems like such a grumpy man except when Tamira is around. She gives him a run for his money lol. He has saved her from something nasty that you need to listen to to find out and then becomes her current bodyguard when she decides to do a speech. Tamira seems so strong willed no matter the danger she faces and the rules she should follow as a female in her culture. I love this book because it shows that 2 different people from 2 diff worlds can still find love for each other. Maddie did such a great job writing this book and giving us a story full of mystery, action and romance wrapped into one. Carl has an awesome accent and read with so much emotion it was easy to feel what they were feeling! This whole series has been so good so far!!!

Another Great Addition to the Series!

This is the fourth book in the Eidolon Black Ops Series, a Romantic Suspense, and a standalone in an ongoing series. Liam and Princess Taamira’s story is entertaining and action packed. I like Royal Romance! Liam is such a great guy, protective, and supportive. Princess Taamira is such a beautiful woman, very strong, and caring. They are perfect together. The storyline is captivating. This is a great forbidden romance, and another great addition to the series! Carl Mason did an excellent job with the narration. I highly recommend this series! #SpectrumAudiobooks

Liam is on duty to protect Princess Taamina. she is strong willed, independent, an is loyal to her country. She wants the women in her country to have more opportunities for education, and freedoms. To be able to pursue their dreams.
Someone is trying to attack her..That's when Liam steps in to protect her.
Liam is stern, strict about her safety.
Who would want her killed ? the story has suspense, mystery, romance and love.

Loved It!

The Cockney and the Princess is a cute story. Tamarah and Liam are the unlikelist couple, but there is no denying the inevitable. Liam is her bodyguard. Narrator Carl Mason was able to provide a Cockney accent for Liam.

What a wonderful surprise!

Author and narrator were both new to me but I love me a bodyguard romance so I dove right in and Maddie Wade did not disappoint!

Liam Finds His Princess

When Princess Taamira of Eyan is betrayed by the security team that she thought she could trust she turns to the only guy who has made her feel safe. Liam does not look forward to having to spend so much time with a woman who he can’t have that seems to have awaken something inside of him that he thought was dead. As this story unfolds Liam and Princess Taamira found something that not everyone does a connection that is deepened with honesty. Liam is determined to keep her safe even if that means he has to put his life on the line. This was full of twists and turns. Great look into different cultural views and finding your own way. This is an experienced/inexperienced, forced proximity, suspenseful HEA.

Liam and Taamira Didn't Connect for Me

Liam and Taamira's story was ok. I listened to the audiobook. I thought the narration was well done, but the actual romance was kind of boring.

The story about Taamira's family, the betrayal, etc. was interesting. I didn't feel much of a connection with Liam and Taamira being a couple. The chemistry just wasn't there for me. I did enjoy the other characters, and Liam and Taamira on their own were fine.

Overall, I would give this 3 stars. I enjoyed some of the other books inthe Eidolon series more.
