Gunner's Redemption

I could not image how Gunner was going to be redeemed. I think I might have even missed a book. But, this book embodies Gunner's pain and the idiom, "caught between a rock and a hard place". It seemed like his life was one impossible situation after another.

Lacy had her own demons to conquer. I liked the way they came together and provided a level of healing for one another. I also appreciated there was not a ton of angst between these two.

I liked the other characters in the book as well. I have to admit that I listened to these books completely out of order, but realized some if the characters were from other series. This just gives me more books to read in order to place catch up.

The narration was good. The narrator did a great job of expressing Gunner's pain, self loathing, regrets, and ultimately forgiveness of actions outside of his control. I am looking forward to Jack's book, but I still need to read Reid, Mitch, and Waggs book.

One of my favorites

Gunner is a great redemption story. I could not put it down! Maddie Wade did an awesome job with the insight into the characters in this book. Gunner’s motivation to become a part of the Eidolon team again and his love for Lacey makes for a sexy, suspenseful book. It’s definitely a page turner! Lacey is a strong, resilient, protective woman. She is an excellent match for Gunner’s alpha heart of gold. Can he protect her and his family? You also get great glimpse into Jack too. I can’t wait for Wags’s book!

Gunner & Lacey

Oh those Eidolon Black Ops men! Each one flawed, but Gunner is definitely the broodiest of them so far! He is one to carry a lot on his shoulders, guilt from his childhood constantly haunting him. It finds him making decisions that put his men in danger and now trust is broken. Lacey is leaving her public life, and she bumps into the sullen man. Gunner is one she has dreamed about as he did save her once. Now their attraction is undeniable and their passion high. Will it only be one night? Will Lacey be able to help heal Gunner? Will Gunner gain the trust of his men? It's a fast paced, emotionally driven romantic suspense, and it is fabulous! I love Gunner and all his flaws. He has a huge heart, and he carries everything with him. I found him very real and easy to understand. Lacey is sweet and sassy, and a woman you don't want to mess with! I love this couple, the family scenes and they way the Eidolon Black Ops team is always there for each other. Another amazing addition to this series.

Piers Ryman comes in with his accent and once again wins my heart. He has a good understanding of this series and these character and brings out all their feelings, strengths and passions. It is a wonderful listen.

Gunner's Redemption

I've been waiting for this one and it did not disappoint. How can you not want to just give Gunner a hug and I was so happy he finally gets some happiness in his life. Lacey was a great heroine and you couldn't help but root for their HEA together. Lots of action and $exy times.

While it can be listened to as a standalone, to get the full history of Gunner it's best to start at the beginning. Not to mention all the other characters that have an appearance and the continuation of some storylines.

Audio - Piers Ryman was excellent with the narration and the accents.

Not the best Narrator choice

this one might be better read than listening to it. it's an important part of the series story line.
