this was a good 4th book, not disappointed, and the development is ok. my only issue is the when the author shoe horned a female mayor out performing the kingdoms greatest warrior in running because reasons and feminist ideas. also why does this man not a have a weapon just because he is a farmer, at one point he drops an ax because HE is a weapon, but he fought his whole military career with a weapon. come on, I'm a veteran, so to me this made no sense.
