highly helpful. good recordings. much fun. I highly recommend this course to other people who want to learn Japanese

a great tool for review

I don't often have time to actually sit down and work on my Japanese, so this helps fill the gap while I can at least listen to something.

the best for the Japanese language

I've been off and on trying to learn Japanese from textbooks and anime and being more confused than anything but it really started to stick when I first purchase this book now I know over 200 words and getting better every day I plan on finishing the whole series one of the best purchases I've ever made

For absolute beginners

as the title suggests, this is a book for beginners in Japanese. theyre literally spoon feeding everything. personally id like it a little harder but its a nice read either way. loved the characters within the short skits especially Fabrizio. though he turned from eccentric to flamboyant in chapter 23 then back to normal in 24 which was weird. but other than that i highly recommend this book for beginners.

Useful vocabulary and practical conversations. The teachers are great at teaching the pronunciation. Loved the whole series of lessons.

If you already listened to level 1 Ultimate Guide, you can rest easy knowing that you already have the knowledge for nearly every lesson in this book with much greater detail and quality.

Peter is absolutely obsessed with pitch accent here, which is unnecessary and distracting at this level of Japanese. One of the English translators seems like he wants to be a voice actor instead, which is as distracting as it is annoying. About half of the words they focus on are English loan words, even when the word exists in native Japanese, and that Japanese word is just as common, if not more common than the loan word.

If you choose to ignore this review and continue on, the plus side is, there are a few new words and phrases introduced here.
