Transparency of Medicine

Very informative on the pros and cons on multiple drugs used during labor and delivery. Pros and cons for Epidurals. Henci tried to be a transparent and not sway readers with her biased viewpoint so readers can come to their own conclusions on whether or not to use drugs/epidurals during labor.

Excellent book!

Henci Goer has a wonderful way of giving all of the information and letting you choose the option that best fits your birth goals. As a birth professional, I highly recommend this book to expecting people and other birth professionals. Excellent book!

comprehensive and enlightening

best $16 ever spent on my Doula education. A valued tool to be used as a reference guide while partnering with my fist several clients. I utilized the PDF notes and illustrations while listening to the book. I feel as though I just finished a $400 seminar for the small sum of my monthly Audible subscription price.

Best book I’ve read so far in doula training

This book gets straight to the point, dives into data, and just has a lot of depth to it. It felt refreshing after listening to several mainstream books that seemed to have a lot of fluff. This one kept my interest the whole time and I learned a LOT.
