Matching is pivotal. Matching is momentous. Matching is sacred. Or so the Council says.

Watching the dynamic between my mother and fathers has stripped the rose-colored glasses from me, though. I've never wanted to match. And I certainly never wanted to attend one of the glitzy galas the Council uses to woo Omegas. At least, not until an absolute nightmare of a heat a couple of months ago and the fallout of it.

So now I have one night that will dictate my future. I'm determined to make the most of it. Running into the Alpha I haven't stopped thinking about since my time at the Haven last fall is a dream come true. Until I realized he was involved with the man that broke my heart four years ago.

I'm staring at a match that has heartbreak written all over it. Between the cold, aloof Alpha from the Italian mafia, the Beta that has more than a passing history with me, and a mother who's convinced she knows better than the Council on who I should end up with, something is going to break.

Unfortunately, no matter which way I look at it, the only reasonable answer is that it'll be me.

And I don't think I'll be able to put myself back together this time.

This is a sweet romance but def check T/W. I really enjoyed the story. The narration was really good especially the Italian accent.

This is so good. It has so many unique twists. I think one particular alpha needed to grovel way more than he did considering his behavior. The accents in this audiobook are to die for. This is so worth the listen.

the alpha mentally abuses the omega and she stays. the alpha physically abuses the omega and she stays. I presume the alpha then swears "he will never do it again" and she stays. I don't know because I stopped reading before getting that far. I didn't stay.
