Was this a first book by the author?

It was clunky in the beginning. I didn't care about the characters--there was nothing to make them interesting or appealing.
It did get better but I foundthe constant switching between the past and present and all the POVs distracting.
Not awful but I had to make myself stick to it.
Narrator was flat at first but I enjoyed his performance overall.

If it's a first book by the author I'd be a little more forgiving. Gotta have time to find your stride.
No substitute for Jack Carr or Vince Flynn or Mark Greaney.

don't believe the nay sayers

this is not flat. this is omg so relevant to our times. scary how true and corrupt ppl are that run the governments,. power is senseless unjoy the read well worth the credit

Great Read, Builds Start To Finish

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book. Well written with a modern, feasible, albeit a bit far fetched but enjoyable plot. Kept my interest throughout. Of course as usual I really enjoyed R.C. Bray's narration. Masterful.

Riveting

Bought it for a road trip, and I didn't want to get out of the car!

The performance by R. C. Bray really brings down this good, exciting story. His monotone delivery really distracts from the story.

7 deadly sins all here

Not sure what some of the other reviewers were reading, but this is a great thrill ride. All the 7 deadly sins are played out by the characters. No spoilers from me, so spend the credit and listen to a moving roller coaster of a tale.

As usual R. C. Bray is simply the best. He is the perfect narrator for the story. It’s a tale of human nature and weakness, and figuring out what really matters in life. Definitely worth a listen. Enjoy!

It was a bit too long. It really could have ended much sooner.
