Doesn’t hold attention

The computer generated narration is so lacking in emotion, change of tone, and proper reading of punctuation that after a few minutes it just becomes background noise.

Tried to listen twice, lost the thread after a chapter or two.

This is the second AI narration I’ve attempted to listen to, and will likely be my last.

K 9 Outlaw

This was a good book. However, the virtual reading took away the excitement of the book. That voice was the same regardless of who spoke or if it was just narration. Vituall reading is not for me.

I like the main character

Virtual wasn’t too bad but polite bikers seemed silly. I’m trying the next book to see what he gets up to next.

Very interesting plot

It kept me intrigued, I was captivated by the role of Kenton and his K-9.

Reacher Light with Dog

Narrator was Digital Voice. Violence showed up too soon in book before we get to know the hero. We also learn way too early that a deputy has something to hide. The main character seems to be a slightly altered version of Jack Reacher. Wanders into town, finds trouble, uncovers truth. I couldn’t finish.

Interesting characters

There needs to be some proofing of virtual voices, especially when it comes to pronouncing words or names in different languages. This virtual voice, like most, has very little variation emotion expression or character voices. Since virtual voice is used why not a feminine voice for female characters and a masculine voice for males. Some of situations are not very believable, but it is fiction. The protagonists are worth cheering on with some having unique backgrounds. It is fairly predictable but written in a way that makes it hard to put down. Overall the story is good enough to listen to next one to see if there is some variation or one of those series that is the same story with different characters and places.

No to AI

The AI narration has no expression or inflections that varies the tone to distinguish between characters, so makes it difficult to follow conversations between characters. This makes the story very flat for an otherwise suspenseful plot and storyline. A great pity.

The story was good. This was the first time I’ve ever listen to a virtual voice and it lacked fluctuation, character and panache for the story. Thank you

Story good, virtual voice bad.

Really dislike the virtual voice. It looses the emotion. The characters and story was enjoyable just lacked emotion.
