Resumen del Editor

Just Me and My Three Sons is a gutsy, wry, and smartly told tale of maternal devotion. Michele Weldon doesn't just cope when her husband abandons her and their three young sons, she does everything in her power - and then some - to assure that her three children thrive. She is a warrior mom in the best possible way - fiercely protective of her sons yet respectful of their growing independence, even when cancer threatens to upend the family's hard-won stability. Weldon beats the odds.

An award-winning journalist and author, Michele Weldon is an assistant professor emerita of journalism at the Medill School of Northwestern University. She is the director of Medill Public Thought Leaders, as well as Northwestern Public Voices Fellowship for the OpEd Project and codirector of TEDX NorthwesternU 2104. Her nonfiction books include I Closed My Eyes, Writing to Save Your Life, and Everyman News: The Changing American Front Page; she has also contributed chapters to several other books.

Weldon has written columns, news, and features for newspapers, websites, magazines, and radio such as the New York Times, Al Jazeera, the Chicago Tribune, the Christian Science Monitor, CNN, the Dallas Times Herald, Dial, the Huffington Post, the Guardian, the Los Angeles Times, Medium, More, Newsday, Nieman Narrative Digest, Parenting, Quartz, Seventeen, Slate, US Catholic, Writer's Digest, West Suburban Living, Women's ENews, Woman's Day, and many more. She has appeared on hundreds of radio and television shows including The Oprah Winfrey Show, NPR, NBC, ABC, CNN, Al Jazeera America, Huffington Post Live, CBS, and BBC.

Pathetic

I thought this book would be more on how she juggled single mother hood since the description states she did the best she could and she’s so accredited..being a single mom myself I was hoping for some insight... None of the sort!
Overall, This book is a traumatic hallmark movie. The one you keep watching in hopes things will turn out well, then ur left feeling shity for the rest of the day.

The narrator flowed.. her voice is nice, calm, And the story is well read.

Three quarters of the way in the story, and it’s still pathetic and sob .. relatable for those who have had similar experiences, but definitely not one you’d be abt to listen to if you’ve healed and grown from them.

Anyone who’s addicted to feeling down and nurtures it would appreciate this story. I however highly don’t recommend to anyone.. nothing feel good about it. does not offer any insight.. may be good for those who aren’t past there issues and want to fuel them.. pass for the sake of your own well being.
