DNF based on narration

I was so excited about this new audiobook! Unfortunately the narration was so horribly unbearable that I had to return it. I stayed with it as long as I could, but had to give up for the sake of my sanity (it is THAT bad). I downloaded the book on Kindle to read without the audio because the story itself was Devney Perry greatness! I read another author's blog saying most authors have no involvement in choosing their Audible narrators, and this production was absolute proof of that fact. No way would any author allow this male narrator to be Jasper Vale!! Devney should demand that Jason Clarke or Teddy Hamilton redo this one (they have been fabulous in her other audiobooks).

Terrible male narrator!

Loved the storyline but someone should have checked the narrator his voice absolutely doesn’t fit the character and actually makes me cringe! I can barely listen to him! He makes me think this tough rugged character is a very metrosexual man who’s 60 years old. I can deal with the female but she’s not great either. I loved the narrator in other bucks she should have stuck to them. Not sure I can even finish I may have to go to the printed book it’s so bad.

the story overall i loved! i struggled with the male narrator - but overall i loved the story.

Wrong Narrator

The male narrator did not interpret the hero correctly…his voice became irritating at times. Especially when he pronounced the heroine’s name, Eloise..I am so glad I am finished and don’t ever have to hear him say “Elle-ohhhh-weeeeeeez” again.Who chooses the narrators? I have been stunned at just how inadequate some narrators are in the world of audiobooks. A good narrator can enhance the book, while a bad narrator can spoil what is a good book.

I’m loving this series!

I think this might be my favorite in the series. I do feel like the male narrator didn’t really fit for Jasper. But overall I enjoyed listening to this one

Giving It Four Stars!

I thought the story was okay. How do parents be so nasty to their children; why have them--makes no sense.

On the narration, LG has a great voice but so so (I mean the double so's) many times I wished he would not place so much emphasis in his readings. It is not needed. LR, I give her a four as well.

Where was the extra epilogue on this one😊😊😊?

Narration needs work.

The story was probably my least favorite of the series. Eloise’s character left a lot to be desired. Female narration was okay but the male narration was awful and borderline creepy at times. Not a good match for Jasper at all.

Always a great read/listen…

Devney is always my go to author/book to read.
Jasper and Eloise are great together, The story was easy to get into and I just devoured it both reading while listening to the audio. It’s always nice to see the other characters fron previous books and find out what they’ve been up to. I love the Edens and I can’t wait to read Lyla’s story 😊

Good listen.

I loved this couple. I tried not to let the dynamics of the heroine and her parents bother me but it did and when it wasn’t resolved I lost a little respect for this story. Although that was a big part for me the remaining parts of this story were still great and I can’t wait to see which sibling is up next!

I’ve been enjoying this series, first by eBook from my local library and now since they only stocked the first three books (why? WHY?!), I’m enjoying the audiobooks because audiobooks are awesome and you can do stuff, like laundry, chores, walks, fall to sleep and get in a book at the same time
I enjoyed the narration by Lance Greenfield and Lucy Rivers…but someone should have told Lance that the male narrator from the previous book was pronouncing Cadence’s shortened name as “Katie” instead of “Caddy” as in Caddy Shack 😂 it’s hard to know how it was spelled since I’m listening and not seeing. But sorry, I did catch it.
Enjoyed the story, knew it had to have something tragic happen, each book does, so I was expecting it. No worries Devney, I’ll keep listening. Thanks for bringing Montana alive for someone who hasn’t visited your fair state yet!
