as a fan of Henry VIII time period this series thrills me. I love alison weir and her insight into each woman

Fun fictionalization of a lesser-known story

I enjoyed the novel theories, especially as explained in the author's note. Good narrator. Recommend.

blown away

jane is by far my least favorite of the sixth wives, I know she is typically seen as the good one but it never sat right with me that she happily took the role of queen when Anne's body wasn't even cold yet. I like that this book doesn't paint her as the good queen and gives into her flaws. Even though this is fiction I did find myself having a better liking for Jane than when I first started on the series.

I love Jane

This is such a wonderful series! The history is well followed and you can tell how much the author loves the time. I’m in the process of reading them all and I have to say, I hated Anne Boleyn (the person, not the book) and it was a nice change to have the good hearted Jane Seymour’s story. On to the next one now!

A Closer Look

I really enjoyed this work of historical fiction. I loved that for a lot of the story was based on actual events and proof is present. Even the fiction portions are not so outlandish or absurd where you couldn't possibly see the events happening. It is the opposite: you are left with the question "what if?" I enjoyed taking a closer look at Jane Seymour and the impact she had on the reign of Henry VIII in such a short time. She is remembered for providing the long awaited heir, but she did so much more. I would definitely recommend to other lovers of historical fiction.
