While each book focuses on a different couple, the series is best enjoyed in order.

Inviting Bedlam is book two in Grae Bryan’s Demon Bound series. This series is a spinoff of the Vampire Mates series. After seeing his brother, Sasha, summon a warrior demon, Ivan summons a demon for himself to help strengthen his mob empire’s hold in New York and ensure him and his family’s safety. Ivan doesn’t expect to summon an incubus who loves to endlessly tease Ivan.

Grae does it again with executing this redemption story flawlessly! Since seeing more of Ivan in Wreaking Havoc, I have been so curious about Ivan and how his story would play out with his demon. I questioned if Ivan was as terrible of a person as Sasha and Alexei believed him to be. I loved how Ivan was way more complex than I initially thought. Ivan is as broken as he is cold. His brother’s think he is cold and unfeeling. Which to some extent he is, but he also had to be this way to survive their father and the things he does, although they are often misguided, come from his need to protect his family. Feeling unwanted and being someone he thinks is so easy to leave has taken a toll on Ivan. He craves loyalty and devotion which Nix gives him so easily.

Nix might be my favorite character out of all of Grae’s characters! I am OBSESSED with him. Nix is all light and snark in sexy panties! He was so much fun I couldn’t help but laugh at his antics. I love how he teases and provokes Ivan, but he also sooths and takes care of him. The care is something no one has ever given to Ivan and Nix gives it so readily, without question. I loved seeing Nix break down every single one of Ivan’s walls, one at a time. Nix is the one person he truly let it and allowed himself to be vulnerable with and Nix does not take that lightly and treats his vulnerability as the gift it is. I LOVED Vanya and Nix!

As always, Michael Ferraiuolo did an amazing with the narration! I can’t wait to listen to Cooper's story next!

Ivan and Nix are a tasty treat

I think I may be a bit biased but I love Nix a touch more than Kai. Nix knows people and he sees Ivan as he is. He's great at knowing when to push and when to be serious. Ivan has a need for control and comes across as icy but is truly a ticking time bomb. It's good that Nix can take it when Ivan needs to vent some frustrations but also isn't afraid to say no when it's for the wrong reasons. This was a great addition to the series with amazing characters. There's a bit of action, some betrayal (by a third party), and some super steamy scenes. Michael does an amazing job of brining these characters to life and I can't wait to see more! These demons will definitely leave a lasting impression.

Michael is so great with this series!

This was a fun, steamy romance for our third Kozlov brother, Ivan, and the incubus he summons. While I think you could read this on your own and get through it, I think it will make SO MUCH MORE sense if you read the Vampire series first, so you can meet Alexei and Jay (also b/c Jay is the very best and most adorable) and then the previous book to know Sacha and Kai. (Also loved the cameo of Wolfe and Eric!)

Ivan has seen his brother summon a demon and is aware of paranormal beings, so he summons his own demon to try and help bring order and safety for his mafia crime family. I adored Nix and his IDGAF attitude, and how he brought out gentleness and love in Ivan. These two were just so, so right for each other.

Really enjoying this whole world of vampires, demons, and their mates. I think Grae has really done a great job with how interconnected this series and her previous one are. We always get new characters that I want stories for!

The audiobook is amazing, Michael always does an amazing job. Will definitely be eager for the next one to be out in audio!

Amazing redemption arc!

Grae Bryan definitely knows how to write a redemption arc! When I found out Ivan was the next MC in the Demon Bound series I was skeptical. Ivan is the brother of Alexei and Sascha, and to be honest seemed cold. However, I should have trusted the process because Grae Bryan not only warmed up frosty Ivan but paired him with the spicy incubus, Nix. Nix was the perfect foil to Ivan and together they had a connection that kept me hooked. Add in Michael Ferraiuolo’s fantastic narration and you have a fantastic audiobook! I’m so excited to see what chaos ensues in the next installment!

I enjoy all of Grae’s books, literally wait for them to come to audio so I can get the full experience. And this one is my new favorite. I adored these characters! Can’t wait for the next one in the series to come to audio!

Michael Ferraiulo does an outstanding job of bringing this story to life. Inviting Bedlam is the second book in the Demon Bound series by Grae Bryan and oh boy am I loving this series.
Ivan and Nix together is everything I could have wished for and then some. Ivan has lived a life full of pain and rejection and really knows no different. Even from those who were supposed to love him. When he conjures up his demon Nix is not what he expected. Looking for a warrior demon he gets Nix, who is an incubus. While not what he expected Nix is exactly what he needs.
I love how Nix accepts every part of Ivan and celebrates who he is. Ivan has never been cared for before and seeing him open up to Nix is amazing.
Their journey is fraught with deceit, betrayal, redemption and LOVE! The heat and chemistry between these two is off the charts hot.
I liked all of the supporting characters and I'm really looking forward to reading book three and finding out about Chaos and Connor. Definitely recommend this series and the Vampire Mates as well.

Absolutely loved it - great story & great narrator

Inviting Bedlam is the second audiobook in the Grae Bryan’s Demon Bound series. It features Ivan, mafia leader and brother of Alexei and Sascha, and Nix, an incubus demon. At the end of book one, we knew that Ivan was going to summon himself a demon, and Nix is that demon. Ivan was expecting a warrior like Kai (Sascha’s demon in book 1), but instead he gets an incubus. Being an incubus, Nix has interesting methods of achieving what Ivan needs. It’s immensely entertaining to read, and I couldn’t predict what he would do next.
Ivan always seems so cold, aloof, and uncaring in the previous books, so it was fulfilling to find out why he acts like he does and if he really is that cold (hint: he’s not). The narrator does a great job conveying this, too. I loved how Nix goes from driving Ivan crazy to being necessary and irreplaceable. The author shows how their connection is developed slowly but deeply with just the right amount of angst. I was definitely rooting for them from page 1.
I loved the cameos from several of the characters from the Vampire’s Mate series. Alexei, Jay, Wolf, and Eric all appear in this book.
I’m not sure how Grae Bryan creates such amazing books again and again, but she has successfully written another exciting and entertaining story with Inviting Bedlam.
Michael Ferraiuolo is a wonderful narrator. He really gives the story life and pulls you into the world you are reading about. He is particularly talented at differentiating the various characters and their emotions. He’s definitely a favorite narrator of mine. I highly recommend this!

Good Story

I did enjoy reading this one. It was a good follow-up to book one of the series. I'm looking forward to the next story. I always enjoy listening to Michael Ferraiuolo's narration and this one was no different. It was so good and I absolutely loved listening to this story audiobook.

Ivan and Nix

Inviting Bedlam is definitely my favorite book of the Demon Bound series so far! I loved getting more background on Ivan and diving deep into his character. I didn’t expect the supposedly cold-hearted mob boss to capture my heart like he did but here we are. I’m glad he found his perfect match in Nix. The narration by Michael Ferraiuolo was great as usual. I especially loved how he portrayed Ivan and his brothers. The slight differences in their accents was a nice touch! Nix was good as well but I found his voice very similar to another character in the book. But their appearance was brief so it wasn’t really an issue. I’m looking forward to (hopefully) hearing Calling Chaos come to life as an audiobook next.

Amazing narration and loved this story. All the guest appearances made me so happy! Can’t wait for the next.
