I wanted more in one book, but I still loved it.
So I thought this was the end of the story of Lianna and David, but it seems I was wrong and Audible just hasn't released the third book yet. I'll have to keep an eye out because I absolutely want to see what happens next. I have to say, I was impressed by David's growth in this book, and that's really what this book was; a show of how these two grew so much closer together and confessed their love for one another amidst the chaos that resulted from the fallout of the first novel. I think David is one of my favorite male protagonists of any book I've read, definitely in the top 5. He's real, raw, a d although he consistently tries to hide himself, the truth always comes to he surface with Lianna. The kind of trust Lianna has to give him doesn't come cheap, especially after what they've been through, and the sex they have is some of the most primal, rough, exciting stuff I've read. I enjoyed it so much because they don't restrain themselves or care what others think of them as long as they care for each other. There's something inherently special about that. Leo kind of makes Lianna sound like she constantly whines, but that was really the only thing I noticed that would detract from the performance for anyone. The narrators were excellent and the story was great as well, just beware that it feels like this book is mostly setting the stage for a huge climax in a book that has not yet come out yet.
