Resumen del Editor

Devon, a suicidal man, learns to appreciate life again during the first day of the battle of the Somme, which is regarded as the bloodiest day in British military history.

He finds himself trapped in a crater, pinned down by relentless machine-gun fire all day long. Strange things begin to happen around him....

Devon waits in fear of what the night will bring.

A Chilling Tale of Life and Death

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I definitely would recommend this story to friends because it is only an hour long, so it can be listened to just about any time! In that short amount of time, the listener will follow a man who wishes for death... Or so he thinks, and ends up getting his wish to look death in the face in the war. The narration is relaxing and beautiful as well, bringing a lot of life to a ghost story!

What was one of the most memorable moments of In No Man's Land: A Ghost Story?

There are more than just soldiers accompanying him. A mysterious woman with glowing eyes appears to him, and from there his adventure being face-to-face with death (and what is left behind after death) only becomes more wild!

Which scene was your favorite?

When Devon has his conversation with a dead Tommy, and all the chaos surrounding it, as well as Devon's efforts to justify all that is happening in front of him, and why he craves death but fears it all at once, was definitely the most memorable.

If you could rename In No Man's Land: A Ghost Story, what would you call it?

I love this title, and wouldn't change it!

Any additional comments?

R. F. Whittaker does it again! As a fan of his written work, this branch into audiobooks is very exciting! His pairing with Jake Urry is absolutely perfect!

Heartrending...Tears and Ghosts...

Heartrending ... tears and ghosts are such a sad mix... this taut little book got great reviews ,... and I adore Jake
Urry as narrator.... but I want to be beguiled by a ghost, not rendered melancholy and morose ... depressed beyond measure.
