Sweet as syrup and Cheesy as your best cheddar

I love this book so cute and sweet. The love interest may be a monster but the whole book felt like a cozy warm blanket.
People who dislike simile or a mild pun may find this one a little annoying but I found it delightful and endearing.
I rated the performance at a four because the male voices were a little distracting to start with, I think they may have used a voice modulator. There were also a few places where they clearly re-recorded a word or short phrase in the middle of a sentence which I found distracting. Otherwise I enjoyed the narrator and would readily listen to something recorded by her again.

Couldn't finish

I got 4 hours through this and couldn't do anymore. The mfc behaves like she is 14. the narration feels like it really contributes to the immaturity of the character. and it was difficult to hear any of the male character lines without turning the volume up really loud. overall I really really wanted to like this story but I just could not get into it.

I am surprised but… would

The pitched down masc voices made it really difficult to understand. Slightly lower but gruff normal pitch would have been fine, like other femme VA audiobooks. Still really liked the story. Super cute. And uhh… would.

Oh My God this was amazing!!!!

Having never read a romance novel in my life, I picked this up on a whim from my wife that pointed it out at a bookstore. Thinking this was going to just sit on my shelf as a novelty, I got interested in seeing there was an audio book of the story. Having an audible credit, I downloaded it on a week I wasn't in the mood to listen to podcasts at work. Thinking this was going to be a young adult book, I quickly found to be mistaken, and was hip deep in a full sexy romance novel, and I was reveling in it. The story, the characters, even part of this drew me in. I greedily took every opportunity to listen. I spent time in my work van vacillating between weeping and yelling at the characters. In the end, I was hooked, and immediately started on the second book. The writing is effortless and engrossing. I don't know what to say besides this experience was life-changing for me, I know that seems melodramatic, but it ticked all the right boxes work me. When I finish the series, I plan on revisiting it again and again. Give it a shot.
